We want:
A&P Inphatec, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented applicant to join our team as a full-time Lab & Manufacturing Technician. This individual will be responsible for supporting the development, establishment, and execution of protocols to manufacture our EPA-registered product. The ideal candidate can work independently to help develop and execute protocols while maintaining accurate manufacturing records, as well as creatively to aid in the continual optimization and further development of our manufacturing line. This individual must be able to communicate effectively in informal settings and be able to work well within a small team. This individual will report to a lead scientist. Candidates should have prior microbiology laboratory experience and be competent at basic laboratory activities.
Responsibilities include:
· Bacteriophage production process development:
-routine testing and maintenance of bacteriophage and bacterial banks
-preparation and sterilization of microbiological media and buffers
-running small scale bacteriophage fermentation and purification processes
-bacterial and bacteriophage growth and enumeration
· Bacteriophage production:
-aid in development and maintenance of standard operating procedures with scientist in charge
-perform standard operating procedures in bacteriophage fermentation, purification, and/or bottle filling
-keep accurate records in real time of executed procedures for quality control
-identifying and resolving, with the lead scientist in charge, any issues in the manufacturing process
-assist in maintaining warehouse inventories and environmental control
You have:
· Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field
· Familiarity with using a biological safety cabinet
· Familiarity with industrial biologics manufacturing
· Experience in handling bacteriophages and BSL-1 and BSL-2 microbes
· Attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills using standard Microsoft software
· Experience with chemical and biological risks of working in a laboratory environment
· Great verbal and written communication skills
· Excitement to work in a close-knit working environment
